The ScienceSoft initiative was present at the 8th IEEE International Conference on eScience (eScience 2012) and OGF 36 in Chicago with talks and sessions. An overview presentation of ScienceSoft and its motivations and roadmap was given at the 1st Maintainable Software Practices in e-Science (SoftwarePractice 2012) workshop on Tuesday October 9th, while a session dedicated to ScienceSoft was hosted on the same day by OGF 36. Several members of the EMI project working on ScienceSoft have attended the event and collected important feedback from the other attendees. SciencePAD is currently in its early design and prototyping phase.
