How to register Software

Overview

Software in ScienceSoft is any software product or service providing functionality targeted to scientific research. Software products can be desktop or web applications, middleware, tools, testsuites and any other piece of software developed in support of scientific research. Services can be provided by Organizations or Collaborations to support specific activities, like cloud-based services (IaaS, AaaS, SaaS, etc.), software engineering services (testing, certification, etc.) or support and consultancy services.

New Software can be registered by any authenticated user. Once a software product or service is registered, the user becomes the owner of that software page and can edit the existing content, but not delete the page altogether. Before Software can be registered, it is necessary to login with a valid ScienceSoft account.

Authentication and Login

Before you can login into ScienceSoft, you need to have a valid account. For the time being valid accounts are standard CERN accounts or lightweight CERN accounts. Lightweight CERN account can be provided to anybody having a valid e-mail address and can be used on a number of CERN-hosted applications, including ScienceSoft. Login using Facebook, Gmail or other OpenID accounts is being set up. For more information, please refer to the Login page
