Software in SciencePAD is any software product or service providing functionality targeted to scientific research. Software products can be desktop or web applications, middleware, tools, testsuites and any other piece of software developed in support of scientific research. Services can be provided by Organizations or Collaborations to support specific activities, like cloud-based services (IaaS, AaaS, SaaS, etc.), software engineering services (testing, certification, etc.) or support and consultancy services.
