What is NorduGrid?

The NorduGrid Collaboration coordinates the development of Advance Resource Connector (ARC) [3] - an open source Grid middleware. The Collaboration goals are:

• Develop and support the ARC middleware.
• Coordinate contributions to the ARC code.
• Define strategical directions for development of the ARC middleware following latest tendencies in the Grid technologies.
• Maintain minimal infrastructure necessary for open source code development.
• Promote ARC middleware solutions in such areas as Grid development, deployment and usage.
• Contribute to development of open standards in Grid and related areas.
